भूमिका
कहते हैं, अगर इरादे मजबूत हों और सपने सच्चे हों, तो हालात कितने भी कठिन ही क्यों न हों, इंसान अपनी मंज़िल को किसी भी हालत में प्राप्त कर ही लेता है। ये कहानी है एक ऐसे ही छोटे से गाँव में रहने वाले बच्चे दीपक की, जिसकी जेबें बेशक हमेशा ही खाली थीं लेकिन उसकी आँखों में एक अलग ही चमक थी, सपनों को हक़ीक़त में बदलने की।
वो न तो बड़े शहर में पैदा हुआ, न ही उसके पास महंगे स्कूल जैसी कोई हाई फाई दिखने वाली सुविधाएँ थीं, इस अभाव के बाद भी उसने वो कर दिखाया, जो कई अमीर और समझदार बच्चे भी नहीं कर पाते। उसकी मेहनत, जुनून और सीखने की जिद ने उसे वहाँ पहुँचाया जहाँ लोग सिर्फ कल्पना करते हैं। हालात चाहे जैसे भी रहे हों, दीपक ने कभी हार नहीं मानी और अपने संघर्षों से समाज को ऐसी प्रेरणा दी कि आज भी लोग उसकी मिसाल देते नहीं थकते हैं।
यह कहानी बच्चों को सिखाती है कि गरीबी कोई रुकावट नहीं, अगर आपके अंदर हिम्मत और जज़्बा है। यह कहानी माता-पिता को भी याद दिलाती है कि हर बच्चा एक दीपक है — बस उसे जलने और रोशनी फैलाने का मौका दीजिए।
1. गाँव का लड़का, बड़ा सपना
गाँव रामपुर एक शांत और हरियाली से भरा इलाका था। वहाँ के लोग सीधे-सादे थे और ज़िंदगी बहुत सादगी से जीते थे। वहीं रहता था 11 साल का दीपक, जो अपने माता-पिता के साथ एक छोटे से कच्चे घर में रहता था। दीपक के पिता खेतों में मजदूरी करते थे और माँ दूसरों के घर काम करके घर चलाती थीं।
दीपक की पढ़ाई गांव के सरकारी स्कूल में होती थी। उसके पास ना अच्छे कपड़े थे, ना किताबें पूरी थीं, फिर भी वो हमेशा मुस्कुराता रहता था। उसका सपना था – “बड़ा आदमी बनना, जिससे माँ-पापा को कभी दुख ना हो।”
2. मुश्किलें आईं, पर दीपक न डरा
दीपक के घर में बिजली भी अक्सर नहीं रहती थी। रात को वो लालटेन की रोशनी में पढ़ाई करता था। कई बार भूखे पेट भी स्कूल चला जाता, लेकिन कभी शिकायत नहीं करता।
एक दिन स्कूल में टीचर ने पूछा –
“बच्चों, बड़े होकर क्या बनना चाहते हो?”
सब बच्चों ने अलग-अलग जवाब दिए – डॉक्टर, पुलिस, इंजीनियर।
दीपक बोला – “मैं वैज्ञानिक बनना चाहता हूँ, ताकि अपने गाँव में ऐसी मशीनें बना सकूँ जो सबका जीवन आसान बना दें।”
बच्चे हँसने लगे, “अरे दीपक, तुम्हारे पास तो जूते भी नहीं हैं, वैज्ञानिक कैसे बनोगे?”
दीपक मुस्कुराया और बोला, “सपनों के लिए जूते नहीं, जुनून चाहिए।”
3. गुरु की सीख
दीपक की इस सोच को देखकर उसके विज्ञान के टीचर, श्री शर्मा जी, बहुत प्रभावित हुए। वे खुद बहुत संघर्ष से शिक्षक बने थे। उन्होंने दीपक को स्कूल के बाद पढ़ाना शुरू किया।
वे कहते,
“दीपक, ज्ञान ही सबसे बड़ी ताकत है। अगर तुम सच में मेहनत करोगे, तो कोई ताकत तुम्हें रोक नहीं सकती।”
धीरे-धीरे दीपक ने हर प्रतियोगिता में जीत हासिल करनी शुरू की। उसने गांव के विज्ञान मेले में सोलर पावर से चलने वाली कार बनाई, जिसने सबको चौंका दिया। उस मेले में एक NGO के सदस्य आए थे, जो ग्रामीण बच्चों को आगे बढ़ने का मौका देते थे।
4. गाँव से शहर तक का सफर
NGO ने दीपक की प्रतिभा देखकर उसे एक स्कॉलरशिप दी, जिससे वह शहर के अच्छे स्कूल में पढ़ सके। माँ-पापा की आंखों में आँसू थे, लेकिन वो गर्व से भरे आँसू थे।
दीपक अब शहर के स्कूल में पढ़ने लगा। वहाँ की सुविधाएँ देखकर वो पहले चौंका, लेकिन डरने की बजाय उसने और ज्यादा मेहनत की।
शुरुआत में उसे बहुत दिक्कत आई – अंग्रेज़ी समझ नहीं आती थी, क्लास के बच्चे उसका मज़ाक उड़ाते थे। पर उसने ठान लिया था – “सिखूंगा, रुकूंगा नहीं।”
5. मेहनत रंग लाती है
हर दिन दीपक सुबह 4 बजे उठता, सबसे पहले अंग्रेज़ी अखबार के शब्दों को समझता, फिर विज्ञान और गणित की पढ़ाई करता।
एक दिन उसकी मेहनत रंग लाई – राज्य स्तर पर आयोजित विज्ञान प्रतियोगिता में उसका “जल से बिजली” बनाने वाला मॉडल पहले स्थान पर आया।
अख़बारों में उसका नाम छपा – “रामपुर के दीपक ने किया कमाल!”
गाँव वाले गर्व से बोले, “देखो, ये हमारा दीपक है।”
6. खुद की कहानी बना दी मिसाल
दीपक को आगे की पढ़ाई के लिए विदेश से स्कॉलरशिप मिली। माँ पहली बार हवाई जहाज में बैठीं, जब दीपक उन्हें यूनिवर्सिटी दिखाने ले गया।
सालों बाद, दीपक एक सफल वैज्ञानिक बन गया। लेकिन उसने कभी गाँव को नहीं छोड़ा। वो हर साल गाँव आता, बच्चों को पढ़ाता, स्कूल को नई तकनीकें देता और कहता –
“मैं इस मिट्टी का बेटा हूँ। यही मेरी असली ताकत है।”
7. दीपक की सोच आज भी जलती है
दीपक ने गाँव में एक विज्ञान केंद्र शुरू किया, जहाँ गरीब बच्चों को फ्री में पढ़ाया जाता है। वो कहता है –
“गरीबी तुम्हें रोक नहीं सकती, अगर तुम सीखने और आगे बढ़ने के लिए तैयार हो।”
आज रामपुर गाँव देशभर में जाना जाता है – वहाँ से निकला दीपक आज लाखों बच्चों की प्रेरणा बन चुका है।
नैतिक शिक्षा (Moral of the Story):
- सपने छोटे या बड़े नहीं होते, हौसले और मेहनत उन्हें पूरा करते हैं।
- हालात चाहे जैसे भी हों, अगर लगन सच्ची हो तो मंज़िल जरूर मिलती है।
- कभी भी मज़ाक उड़ाने वालों से हार मत मानो – उन्हें अपनी सफलता से जवाब दो।
- जहाँ से चले हो, उसे कभी मत भूलो – असली ताकत तुम्हारी जड़ में है।
- शिक्षा ही वो रोशनी है, जो सबसे अंधेरे में भी रास्ता दिखाती है।

Story Title: “Chhota Deepak, Badi Roshni”
Introduction
It is said that if the intentions are strong and the dreams are true, then no matter how difficult the circumstances are, a person achieves his goal in any condition. This is the story of Deepak, a child living in such a small village, whose pockets were always empty but there was a different shine in his eyes, to turn dreams into reality.
He was neither born in a big city, nor did he have any high-fi looking facilities like expensive schools, despite this lack, he did what many rich and intelligent children could not do. His hard work, passion and insistence on learning took him to places where people only imagine. Whatever the circumstances, Deepak never gave up and inspired the society with his struggles in such a way that even today people do not get tired of giving his example.
This story teaches children that poverty is not a hindrance if you have courage and passion. This story also reminds parents that every child is a lamp – just give him a chance to burn and spread light.
- Village boy, big dream
Village Rampur was a peaceful and green area. The people there were simple and lived a very simple life. There lived 11-year-old Deepak, who lived with his parents in a small mud house. Deepak’s father worked as a labourer in the fields and his mother ran the house by working in other people’s houses.
Deepak studied in the government school of the village. He did not have good clothes, nor did he have enough books, yet he always kept smiling. His dream was – “To become a big man, so that his parents never feel sad.”
- Difficulties came, but Deepak was not afraid
There was often no electricity in Deepak’s house. At night he used to study in the light of a lantern. Many times he would go to school on an empty stomach, but he never complained.
One day the teacher asked in school –
“Children, what do you want to become when you grow up?”
All the children gave different answers – doctor, police, engineer.
Deepak said – “I want to become a scientist, so that I can make such machines in my village that make everyone’s life easier.”
The children started laughing, “Hey Deepak, you don’t even have shoes, how will you become a scientist?”
Deepak smiled and said, “For dreams, you don’t need shoes, but passion.”
- Guru’s teachings
Seeing this thinking of Deepak, his science teacher, Mr. Sharma ji, was very impressed. He himself had become a teacher after a lot of struggle. He started teaching Deepak after school.
He would say,
“Deepak, knowledge is the biggest power. If you really work hard, then no power can stop you.”
Gradually Deepak started winning every competition. He made a solar powered car in the village science fair, which surprised everyone. Members of an NGO had come to that fair, who used to give opportunities to rural children to progress.
- Journey from village to city
The NGO saw Deepak’s talent and gave him a scholarship so that he could study in a good school in the city. His parents had tears in their eyes, but they were tears of pride.
Deepak now started studying in a city school. He was shocked to see the facilities there, but instead of getting scared, he worked harder.
In the beginning, he faced a lot of difficulties – he did not understand English, the children in his class used to make fun of him. But he was determined – “I will learn, I will not stop.”
- Hard work pays off
Every day Deepak would wake up at 4 in the morning, first he would understand the words in the English newspaper, then he would study science and mathematics.
One day his hard work paid off – his model of making “electricity from water” came first in the state level science competition.
His name was printed in the newspapers – “Rampur’s Deepak did wonders!”
The villagers said proudly, “Look, this is our Deepak.”
- He made his own story an example
Deepak got a scholarship from abroad for further studies. His mother boarded an airplane for the first time when Deepak took her to see the university.
Years later, Deepak became a successful scientist. But he never left the village. He used to come to the village every year, teach the children, give new technologies to the school and say –
“I am a son of this soil. This is my real strength.”
- Deepak’s thinking still burns
Deepak started a science center in the village, where poor children are taught for free. He says –
“Poverty cannot stop you, if you are ready to learn and move forward.”
Today Rampur village is known all over the country – Deepak who came from there has become an inspiration for millions of children today.
Moral of the Story:
Dreams are neither small nor big, courage and hard work make them come true.
Whatever the situation, if the dedication is true, then the destination is definitely achieved.
Never give up on those who make fun of you – answer them with your success.
Never forget where you have come from – the real strength is in your roots.
Education is the light that shows the way even in the darkest times.
