क्या होगा ग़र जंगल न होगा, सोचा है क्या कभी ये तुम ने?
बनाने से ज़्यादा उजाड़ा हमने, सोचा है क्या कभी ये तुम ने?
खाली खाली लगता है क्यूँ, हमारा वज़ूद, हमारी पहचान
सांसें ढीली हैं पड़ने लगीं क्यूँ, खो कर के बंद मुठ्ठी में जान
जिस दिन हवा ने दर्द से चीखा, पेड़ों ने अपनी चुप्पी तोड़ी
तन्हाई उजड़े जंगल की देखो, बोझ जो मन पर हमने छोड़ी
आँचल मैला हो गया कैसे, बढ़ाएं जंगल का खोया सम्मान
क्या होगा ग़र जंगल न होगा, सोचा है क्या कभी ये तुम ने?
कितने बरस कितनी सदियों से, कौन खिलखिला रहा है
सिसकती हुई आँखों में, खुशियां हमारे सपने जला रहा है
अपनी ही साँसों का कैदी बना, रूह पर है ये कर्ज़ कैसा
वज़ूद पर उठती है ख़ामोशी, घर लगे है अपना मर्ज़ जैसा
लहू में लिपटा सुलगता चाँद, मिट्टी में देखो मिला रहा है
क्या होगा ग़र जंगल न होगा, सोचा है क्या कभी ये तुम ने?
जड़ें सुलग रहीं, पहाड़ बिखर रहे अपनी ही धरती माँ से
सिमट कर थोड़े रह गए, थर्राए भूकंप से आह भरी सांसे
न पक्षी गायेंगे न खिलेंगे फूल, न जंगल कभी आज़ाद होगा
वक़्त बदलेगा, ज़रूरतें बढ़ेंगी, तेज़ी से सब कुछ बर्बाद होगा
शहर होगा घर इन जानवरों का, फिर हर रोज गिरेंगी लाशें
क्या होगा ग़र जंगल न होगा, सोचा है क्या कभी ये तुम ने?
आओ हम सभी संकल्प लें, जंगल व वन्य जीवों को बचाएं
सुरक्षित रहेगा तभी भविष्य हमारा, धरती को संवारे सजाएं
नदियां पुनर्जागृत हों, पानी की बर्बादी रोकें, जल संचय हो
बेवजह चीजों का दुरुपयोग रोको, ताकि जंगल निर्भय हो
पर्यावरण का रख कर ख़्याल, मानव जीवन को सुंदर बनाएं

What will happen if there is no forest, have you ever thought about it?
We have destroyed more than we have created, have you ever thought about it?
Why does our existence, our identity feel empty?
Why are the breaths getting loose, having lost the life in the closed fist?
The day the wind screamed in pain, the trees broke their silence.
Look at the loneliness of the destroyed forest, the burden we have left on our minds.
How did the pallu get dirty, increase the lost respect of the forest?
What will happen if there is no forest, have you ever thought about it?
For how many years, how many centuries, who is smiling
In the sobbing eyes, happiness is burning our dreams
Becoming a prisoner of its own breaths, what kind of debt is this on the soul
Silence arises on existence, the house seems like its own disease
Look, the burning moon wrapped in blood is mixing with the soil
What will happen if there is no forest, have you ever thought about it?
The roots are burning, the mountains are falling away from their own mother earth
They are a little confined, the sighs are trembling due to the earthquake
Neither the birds will sing nor the flowers will bloom, nor will the forest ever be free
Time will change, needs will increase, everything will be destroyed fast
The city will be the home of these animals, then dead bodies will fall every day
What will happen if there is no forest, have you ever thought about it?
Let us all take a pledge to save the forests and wildlife
Only then will our future be safe, let us beautify the earth
Rivers should be revived, stop wastage of water, let there be water conservation
Stop misuse of unnecessary things, so that the forests remain fearless
Take care of the environment, make human life beautiful
