कौआ और कबूतर
ईश्वर जो भी करता है, सदैव अच्छा ही करता है, ईश्वर पिताओं का पिता और माताओं की भी माता है, समस्त सृष्टि को रचने और संहार करने वाला है।किन्तु परमात्मा प्रत्यक्ष रूप से या अप्रत्यक्ष रूप से कभी भी किसी का बुरा नहीं करता है, मनुष्य अपने ही किये हुए कर्मों की सजा पाता है। आज ऐसी ही एक कहानी आपको बताने जा रहे हैं।
एक बार की बात है, एक गाँव के किनारे एक खेत में एक चतुर कौआ और एक कबूतर दोनों साथ-साथ रहा करते थे। कबूतर स्वभाव से बहुत भोला-भाला और सीधा-सादा था जबकि कौआ बहुत ही तेज़ तर्रार और चालाक तो था ही वह बहुत स्वार्थी और अहंकारी भी था। कभी किसी की सहायता भी नहीं करता था और ना कभी किसी के सुख-दुख में साथ देता था, ठीक इसके विपरीत कबूतर बहुत दयालु और परोपकारी था और हमेशा दूसरों के सुख-दुख में साथ देता था। यथासंभव हर प्रकार से ज़रूरतमंद लोगों की सेवा करता था।
एक दिन की बात है, कबूतर को खाने के लिए कुछ नहीं मिला। वह भूखा ही इधर-उधर देखता रहा। तभी कौआ एक रोटी लेकर आया तो कबूतर ने सोचा कि सम्भवतः वह थोड़ी बहुत रोटी उसको भी दे देगा लेकिन कौए ने तो कबूतर से पूछा तक नहीं और चुपचाप पूरी रोटी खा गया।
कुछ दिनों बाद एक दिन कौए को खाने के लिए कुछ नहीं मिला और कबूतर को खाने को रोटी मिल गई थी।
भूख से व्याकुल कौए ने जैसे ही कबूतर को रोटियां खाते हुए देखा, तो वह झट से कबूतर के पास आकर बोला- मित्र, आज मेरी तबीयत कुछ ठीक नहीं लग रही है, पेट में भी चूहे दौड़ रहे हैं, बहुत कमज़ोरी सी लग रही है, अब तो उठने-बैठने की हिम्मत भी नहीं रही है- कौए ने उदासी भरी शक्ल बनाकर कबूतर से कहा।
- क्या मैं तुम्हारे लिए कोई दवाई ले आऊं। कबूतर ने कौए से बड़ी सहजता से पूछा।
- नहीं, नहीं मित्र। दवाई की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। मेरी पीड़ा तो रोटी से दूर हो जाएगी, दवाई की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। बात ये कि तुम्हारे पास जो ये रोटी है, उसे क्या तुम मुझे दे सकते हो, यदि में इसे खा लूँ तो मैं बिलकुल ठीक जाऊंगा। कौए ने बड़ी चतुराई से कहा।
भोला-भाला कबूतर कौए की बातों में आ गया और अगले ही पल वह अपनी रोटी उसे देते हुए बोला- लो मित्र, पहले तुम खा लो यह रोटी ताकि तुम्हारी पीड़ा दूर हो सके। मैं तो भूख को सहन कर लूंगा या कुछ और खा लूंगा।
कौआ तो बस इसी ताक में था, कि कब वो अवसर आये जब कबूतर से वह रोटी उसे खाने को मिल जाए। वह झट से कबूतर की रोटी को पकड़ लिया और मन ही मन बहुत खुश होने लगा कि उसने कितनी चालाकी से कबूतर की रोटी प्राप्त कर ली।
उनके पास ही बैठा कुत्ता यह सब देख रहा था जो पहले से ही रोटी पाने की फिराक में था लेकिन दोनों पक्षियों की नजरों में वह नहीं आया था।
जैसे ही कौए ने रोटी पकड़ी, कुत्ते ने उसने उछलकर कौए को धर दबोचा।
कुत्ते के मज़बूत जबड़े में खुद को असहाय पा कर कौआ कांव कांव करते हुए चिल्लाने लगा और कहा अरे अरे- मैंने चालाकी से यह रोटी प्राप्त की है, तुम इस रोटी को खा लो और मुझे छोड़ दो…।
लेकिन कुत्ता जो पहले से ही बहुत भूखा था, उसने कौए की बातों को अनसुना करते हुए पूरी शक्ति लगा कर कौए को मार कर अपने पेट की आग बुझा ली।
यहाँ एक बात अवश्य सीखने वाली है कभी भी दूसरों के भोलेपन का नाजायज फायदा उठाने की कोशिश मत करना, क्यूंकि जो ऐसा करते हैं वो इसी तरह की सजा से वह बच नहीं सकते। अंत में उसका सर्वनाश होना तय है।
कबूतर अपने मन में यह सोचते हुए उस डाली से उड़ गया था कि, चलो ‘ईश्वर जो भी करता है, अच्छा ही करता है। आज यदि रोटी मेरे पास होती तो मेरी मृत्यु सुनिश्चित थी लेकिन कौए ने मेरे साथ धोखा किया इसलिए यह सजा उसे मिल गई।’
कौआ और कबूतर
कौआ और कबूतर की इस कहानी से हम सभी को अवश्य यह शिक्षा लेनी चाहिए, कभी भी दूसरों के भोलेपन का नाजायज फायदा उठाने की कोशिश मत करना, क्यूंकि जो ऐसा करते हैं वो इसी तरह की सजा से वह बच नहीं सकते। अंत में उसका सर्वनाश होना तय है।

Whatever God does, he always does it for good. God is the father of fathers and mother of mothers, he is the creator and destroyer of the whole universe. But God never does any harm to anyone directly or indirectly. Man gets punished for his own deeds. Today we are going to tell you one such story.
Once upon a time, a clever crow and a pigeon used to live together in a field on the outskirts of a village. The pigeon was very innocent and simple by nature while the crow was very smart and clever and he was also very selfish and arrogant. He never helped anyone and never supported anyone in their happiness and sorrow, on the contrary the pigeon was very kind and charitable and always supported others in their happiness and sorrow. He served the needy people in every possible way.
One day, the pigeon did not get anything to eat. He kept looking here and there hungry. Then the crow brought a roti, the pigeon thought that perhaps he would give some roti to him too, but the crow did not even ask the pigeon and quietly ate the whole roti.
After a few days, one day the crow did not get anything to eat and the pigeon got roti to eat.
As soon as the hungry crow saw the pigeon eating rotis, he immediately came to the pigeon and said – Friend, today I am not feeling well, there are rats running in the stomach, I am feeling very weak, now I don’t even have the strength to get up or sit – the crow said to the pigeon with a sad face.
- Should I bring some medicine for you. The pigeon asked the crow very easily.
- No, no friend. There is no need for medicine. My pain will go away with the roti, there is no need for medicine. The thing is that can you give me this roti that you have, if I eat it then I will be completely fine. The crow said very cleverly.
The innocent pigeon fell for the crow’s words and the next moment he gave his bread to him and said- Take it friend, first you eat this bread so that your pain can be relieved. I will bear the hunger or eat something else.
The crow was just waiting for the opportunity to get that bread from the pigeon. He quickly caught the pigeon’s bread and was very happy in his heart that how cleverly he got the pigeon’s bread.
The dog sitting near them was watching all this, who was already in the pursuit of getting the bread but he did not come in the sight of both the birds.
As soon as the crow caught the bread, the dog jumped and caught the crow.
Finding himself helpless in the strong jaws of the dog, the crow started shouting and cawing and said hey hey- I have got this bread cleverly, you eat this bread and leave me…
But the dog, who was already very hungry, ignored the crow’s words and killed the crow with all his might to satisfy his hunger.
One thing is to be learnt here, never try to take advantage of the innocence of others, because those who do this cannot escape this kind of punishment. Ultimately, their destruction is certain.
The pigeon flew away from that branch thinking in its mind, ‘Whatever God does, it is good. If I had bread today, my death was certain, but the crow cheated me, so he got this punishment.’

We all must learn this lesson from this story of the crow and the pigeon, never try to take unfair advantage of the innocence of others, because those who do this cannot escape this kind of punishment. In the end, their destruction is certain.
