एक छोटे से गाँव में एक लड़का रहता था, जिसका नाम था रवि। रवि एक बहुत ही समझदार और ईमानदार लड़का था। उसकी उम्र लगभग 10 साल की थी, और वो हर दिन अपने घर के काम में अपनी माँ की मदद करता था। उसका सपना था कि वह बड़ा होकर एक अच्छा इंसान बने, जो लोगों की मदद कर सके।
रवि का एक सबसे अच्छा दोस्त था, उसका नाम राहुल था। राहुल और रवि काफी समय से एक-दूसरे के अच्छे दोस्त थे। लेकिन राहुल में एक कमी थी, वह हमेशा अपनी बात सुनाना चाहता था और दूसरों की बात नहीं सुनता था। रवि इस बात को समझ नहीं पाता था, लेकिन वह अपने दोस्त को कभी भी नाराज नहीं करता था।
एक दिन रवि के पिताजी ने उसे एक नया काम दिया। उन्होंने कहा, “रवि बेटा, आज से तुम्हें अपनी पढ़ाई के अलावा एक और काम करना होगा। तुम्हें हमारे खेत में जाकर फसल काटने में मदद करनी होगी। यह तुम्हारे लिए एक अच्छी सीख होगी।”
रवि खुश हो गया। उसके मन में सोचा, “यह एक नए काम का शुभारम्भ है। मैं अपने पिताजी की मदद करके और भी बेहतर इंसान बनूंगा।”
खेत में काम करना
अगले दिन रवि ने अपने पिताजी के साथ खेत में काम करना शुरू किया। खेत में काम करना बहुत मुश्किल था। उसे अपने हाथों से घास काटनी थी, खेतों की मिट्टी को ठीक तरह से उलटना पलटना भी था और खेतों में पानी भी देना था। रवि को लगने लगा कि यह काम उससे थोड़ा कठिन है, लेकिन उसने अपने पिताजी से सुना था कि जो काम मन से किया जाता है, उसमें अपने आप ही मजा आता है।
खेत में काम करते हुए रवि ने देखा कि हर चीज़ अपनी जगह पर थी। पास ही एक छोटी सी दरी थी जिसमें रंग-बिरंगे फूल खिलते थे, और एक नदी के किनारे साग और सब्ज़ियाँ उग रही थी। रवि को लगा, “यह सब कैसे होता है? क्या मैं भी इस तरह से अपने काम में सफलता पा सकता हूँ?”
उसने अपने पिताजी से पूछा, “पापा, यह सब कैसे होता है? यह खेत, ये फूल और सब्जियाँ सब कैसे उगते हैं?”
पिताजी मुस्कुराए और कहा, “बेटा, जैसे तुम्हें यह खेत का काम समझ में आ रहा है, वैसे ही ज़िंदगी के हर काम को समझना पड़ता है। अगर तुम अपनी ज़िंदगी में भी मेहनत और लगन से काम करोगे, तो तुम्हें सफलता ज़रूर मिलेगी।”
राहुल की गलत राह
रवि को उसका दोस्त राहुल अक्सर उससे मिलने आता था। एक दिन राहुल ने रवि से कहा, “मुझे यह खेत का काम बिल्कुल भी पसंद नहीं आया। मेरा मन तो कंप्यूटर गेम खेलने में ही लगता है। मेरा सपना है कि मैं एक दिन बड़ा गेम डेवेलपर बनूंगा। मैं अब पढ़ाई और काम से ज्यादा कंप्यूटर पर टाइम देना चाहता हूं।”
रवि ने अपने दोस्त से कहा, “राहुल, अगर तुम अपनी पढ़ाई और अपने काम को ठीक से नहीं करोगे, तो तुम्हें कभी अपने सपने को पूरा करने का मौका नहीं मिलेगा। हर चीज़ को अपनी जगह देना ज़रूरी है।”
राहुल हँस कर बोला, “रवि, तुम जो कह रहे हो, वह बहुत बोरिंग लगता है। मैं तो अपनी मर्जी से काम करूंगा।”
रवि थोड़ा उदास हो गया, लेकिन उसने अपने दोस्त को समझाने की कोशिश नहीं छोड़ी। रवि ने सोचा, “क्या पता राहुल को समझ आ जाए।”
रवि की सीख
दिन बीत गए और रवि ने अपने पिताजी के साथ और मेहनत से काम करना जारी रखा। एक दिन रवि के पिताजी ने उसे कहा, “बेटा, आज तुमने खेत का काम बिल्कुल ठीक ढंग से किया है। तुम्हारी मेहनत को देखकर मुझे लगता है कि तुम बहुत अच्छा काम करोगे।”
रवि खुश हो गया, और अपने पिताजी से कहा, “पापा, आपने मुझे बहुत कुछ सिखाया है। मैं अब समझता हूँ कि ज़िंदगी में अगर हम अपने काम को ईमानदारी और मेहनत से करेंगे, तो सफलता ज़रूर मिलती है।”
रवि ने अपने दोस्त राहुल से भी बात की, “राहुल, मैंने अब तक सीखा है कि अगर हम अपने काम में लगन और मेहनत लगाएं, तो जो हम चाहते हैं, वो मिलता है।”
राहुल ने सोचा और कहा, “रवि, तुमने जो कहा, वह सही है। मैं अब अपने काम को ज्यादा ध्यान से करूंगा। तुम्हारी तरह ही मुझे भी अब ईमानदारी से काम करने का मन है।”
राहुल की बदलती सोच
कुछ महीनों बाद राहुल को अपनी गलती समझ में आई। उसने अपनी पढ़ाई पर ध्यान देना शुरू किया और अपने सपने को पूरा करने के लिए मेहनत करने लगा। रवि और राहुल दोनों अच्छे दोस्त बन गए। रवि ने अपने दोस्त को समझाया कि सपने सच करने के लिए ईमानदारी और मेहनत ज़रूरी है।
राहुल ने अपनी ज़िंदगी में नए तरीके से काम करना शुरू किया, और धीरे-धीरे उसने अपने सपने को पूरा भी किया। उसके मन में रवि का धन्यवाद था, जिसने उसे अपनी ज़िंदगी बदलने का रास्ता दिखाया था।

A boy named Ravi lived in a small village. Ravi was a very intelligent and honest boy. He was about 10 years old, and he used to help his mother in her household chores every day. His dream was to grow up and become a good person who could help people.
Ravi had a best friend, his name was Rahul. Rahul and Ravi were good friends of each other for a long time. But there was a shortcoming in Rahul, he always wanted to tell his point and did not listen to others. Ravi could not understand this, but he never annoyed his friend.
One day Ravi’s father gave him a new job. He said, “Ravi son, from today you have to do one more job apart from your studies. You have to go to our farm and help in harvesting the crop. This will be a good lesson for you.”
Ravi became happy. He thought, “This is the beginning of a new venture. I will become a better person by helping my father.”
Working in the field
The next day Ravi started working in the field with his father. The work in the field was very difficult. He had to cut the grass with his own hands, turn the soil properly and also water the fields. Ravi started to think that this work was a little more difficult than him, but he had heard from his father that the work done with full heart is automatically enjoyable.
While working in the field, Ravi saw that everything was in its place. There was a small field nearby in which colorful flowers were blooming, and greens and vegetables were growing on the bank of a river. Ravi thought, “How does all this happen? Can I also get success in my work like this?”
He asked his father, “Papa, how does all this happen? How do these fields, these flowers and vegetables grow?”
Father smiled and said, “Son, just like you are able to understand this farm work, you have to understand every work in life in the same way. If you work hard and diligently in your life too, you will definitely get success.”
Rahul’s wrong path
Ravi’s friend Rahul often came to meet him. One day Rahul said to Ravi, “I did not like this farm work at all. I am interested in playing computer games. My dream is to become a big game developer one day. Now I want to spend more time on the computer than on studies and work.”
Ravi said to his friend, “Rahul, if you do not do your studies and your work properly, you will never get a chance to fulfill your dream. It is important to give everything its place.”
Rahul laughed and said, “Ravi, what you are saying sounds very boring. I will work according to my wish.”
Ravi became a little sad, but he did not stop trying to convince his friend. Ravi thought, “Who knows Rahul will understand.”
Ravi’s lesson
Days passed and Ravi continued to work harder with his father. One day Ravi’s father said to him, “Son, today you have done the farm work very well. Seeing your hard work, I think you will do a very good job.”
Ravi became happy, and said to his father, “Papa, you have taught me a lot. I now understand that if we do our work with honesty and hard work in life, then we definitely get success.”
Ravi also talked to his friend Rahul, “Rahul, I have learned till now that if we put dedication and hard work in our work, then we get what we want.”
Rahul thought and said, “Ravi, what you said is right. I will now do my work more carefully. Like you, I also want to work honestly now.”
Rahul’s changing thinking
After a few months, Rahul understood his mistake. He started focusing on his studies and started working hard to fulfill his dream. Both Ravi and Rahul became good friends. Ravi explained to his friend that honesty and hard work are necessary to make dreams come true.
Rahul started working in a new way in his life, and gradually he also fulfilled his dream. He was thankful to Ravi, who showed him the way to change his life.
