हँसते हँसते मौत को गले लगाया
अदम्य साहसी थे वीर बलिदानी
भगत सिंह जी की देशभक्ति की
आओ बच्चों तुम्हें सुनाऊँ कहानी
ब्रिटिश सरकार के काले कानून
अनगिनत लोगों के घर उजाड़े थे
गोरे अंग्रेज़ों को सुनाने धमाके
संसद में फोड़े बम व पर्चे फाड़े थे
राजगुरू सुखदेव जी संग उन्होंने
सोते हुए अंग्रेजों की नींद उड़ा दी
वीरता और देशभक्ति के चर्चों ने
अंग्रेजों के मनों में टेंशन बढ़ा दी
सॉन्डर्स को गोली मारी और वे
राजगुरू संग हुए गए थे फरार
लाला लाजपत की हत्या का ले
प्रतिशोध क्रांति को दिया आकार
क़दम क़दम पे अंग्रेजी सत्ता को
अपनी देशभक्ति से झुका दिया
अभिमान से उठी हुई आवाजों
को उन्होंने हौसलों से दबा दिया
ना दिल में कोई डर न पछतावा
बस आज़ादी की लौ जलती थी
मातृभूमि पर मर मिट जाने की
उम्मीदें उनके हृदय में पलती थी
सिंहासन डोल गया हुक़ूमत का
हर ओर डर के बादल छा गए
भगत सिंह के देशभक्ति के चर्चे
सभी के खून में उबाल ला गए
फांसी की सजा पा कर भी वो
जज़्बे से भरे तनिक ना वो डोले
मातृभूमि माँग रही बलिदान मेरा
हँसते हँसते ही वो सभी से बोले
उनके बलिदान से ही इस देश ने
1947 में अंग्रेजों से आज़ादी आई
देश न भूलेगा तप त्याग उनका
ऐसे ही वीरों से हमने खुशियां पाई

veerata aur deshabhakti ke charchon ne
angrejon ke manon mein tenshan badha dee
sondars ko golee maaree aur ve
raajaguroo sang hue gae the pharaar
laala laajapat kee hatya ka le
pratishodh kraanti ko diya aakaar
qadam qadam pe angrejee satta ko
apanee deshabhakti se jhuka diya
abhimaan se uthee huee aavaajon
ko unhonne hausalon se daba diya
na dil mein koee dar na pachhataava
bas aazaadee kee lau jalatee thee
maatrbhoomi par mar mit jaane kee
ummeeden unake hrday mein palatee thee
sinhaasan dol gaya huqoomat ka
har or dar ke baadal chha gae
bhagat sinh ke deshabhakti ke charche
sabhee ke khoon mein ubaal la gae
phaansee kee saja pa kar bhee vo
jazbe se bhare tanik na vo dole
maatrbhoomi maang rahee balidaan mera
hansate hansate hee vo sabhee se bole
unake balidaan se hee is desh ne
1947 mein angrejon se aazaadee aaee
desh na bhoolega tap tyaag unaka
aise hee veeron se hamane khushiyaan paee

He embraced death smilingly
The brave martyr was indomitable and courageous
Come children, let me tell you the story of Bhagat Singh’s patriotism
The black laws of the British government
Destroyed the homes of countless people
To make the white British listen to the blasts, he burst bombs and tore pamphlets in the Parliament
Along with Rajguru and Sukhdev ji, he
Disturbed the sleep of the British
Discussions of bravery and patriotism increased the tension in the minds of the British
Shot Saunders and fled with Rajguru
Taking revenge for the murder of Lala Lajpat, he gave shape to the revolution
At every step, he bowed down the British rule
With his patriotism
He suppressed the voices raised with pride
With courage, he had no fear or regret in his heart
Only the flame of freedom was burning
The hope of dying for the motherland
He grew in his heart
The throne of the government was shaken
Clouds of fear covered every side The discussions about Bhagat Singh’s patriotism
Brought everyone’s blood to boil
Even after being sentenced to death, he
was full of passion and did not waver
The motherland is demanding my sacrifice
He told everyone smilingly
It was because of his sacrifice that this country
got freedom from the British in 1947
The country will never forget his sacrifice
It is because of such heroes that we got happiness

‘दीप’ नमन करता है ऐसे वीरों को
जो संसार में कभी बार-बार नहीं हैं, वो ही सच्चे वीर कहलाते

He is called a true hero
Those who don’t just say, they do, they are called true heroes
Those who keep their word even after death, they are called true heroes
If life is lived for self, then what is the point
Those who die for blessings, they are called true heroes
It is possible to spread thorns on the path
Those who spread flowers on the path for everyone, they are called true heroes
It is very easy to set fire to a house and burn it
Those who build up the ruined homes of all, they are called true heroes
Without caring for their own body and mind
Those who remove thorns from the path for everyone, they are called true heroes
Even if there are lakhs of obstacles in life
But those who always keep smiling, they are called true heroes
Though thousands die everyday
But those who die for the country, they are called true heroes
Even if lakhs of people torture them
Those who can never even utter a sigh,
they are called true heroes ‘Deep’ salutes such heroes
who are never seen again and again in this world,
they are called true heroes
